Title of Sequence: Realization (2016)
In “Realization” the image on a screen confronts the subject. They struggle; the image has a strong hold on him, permeates him, becomes actual in him. The subject, an adolescent boy, is thoroughly changed by the image, just as the image is changed through overtaking the subject. The limits of the compositional frame allow no way out and set up the confrontation as an act of violence.
